Myke's Story

Life It's been a fun ride since high school!!! Since school I worked retail security, bought an adult entertainment booking agency and started producing adult videos. I've been married since 1996. We met in 1989 while she was going to college at Iowa Central in Fort Dodge. We live in Waterloo. We don't have any kids yet...... still practicing!!! CYA School My elementary (Emerson), Jr. high (West Jr.) and high school (Central) are all closed and my college changed names (Hawkeye Tech now Hawkeye Community College). Not sure what that is telling me. :) College In 1981, I took Police Science for a year. I found out that because I'm color blind I couldn't work in law enforcement. (technically it's called color deficient - I see colors just the wrong ones) Entered the work world and ten years later decided to go back and finish my degree. Like most people I'll never work in the field of my degree. :) Workplace...Expand for more
For eighteen years after high school I worked in retail security both as a floor walker (not to be confused with a street walker) and an executive. In 1994, while working for Target I was shot while apprehending a shoplifter. A co-worker, Gary Mast, was killed in the incident. :( Shortly after the shooting I was fired by Target and started working for myself giving shoplift prevention seminars and installing security systems. In 1998, I had the opportunity to buy an adult entertainment booking agency, Heart Throbs Adult Entertainment. We have since expanded to producing adult videos. NO, I don't dance for the business and all my work is behind the camera!!! :) I cannot imagine giving up the adult businesses but I have become interested in more mainstream photography and videography. My specialty is documentary news and live events. My proudest accomplishment to date is having my stories used on CNN-TV.
