Myles's Story

Hello Class of 1980 To make a long story short I joined the Navy right after High School. Traveled the world doing so and after that I worked for the US Postal Service in St. Paul for 14 years. I traveled extensively during that time as the US Post Office would allow me paid leave and leave with out pay meaning many long trips for months at a time. On my final trip working and living in the US I took a trip around the world for 4 months. That is when I met my Italian wife Monica. We were both on safari in Africa on the Serengeti plains in Tanzania. I did not speak a word of...Expand for more
Italian and she only knew about 10 words in English. When I got back from my journey we where married in Rome. I quit my job and sold my house and all my belongings. I have now been in Rome 14 years and have to great boys Thomas and Patrick. We continue to travel with them all over the world. Every year we go some where different. Last Year for example we took them to Australia. Bali Indonesia,Singapore, and Dubai. I work in the US Embassy in Rome as the classified pouch manager and my wife is a nurse. Life is good and I hope all is well for you all too. Cheers Myles Carey.
