Life
I see some of these bios and I lead a pretty dull life. I've been married to Patrick Sims ( class of 66) for 35 years and we have 2 adult children, Sheelagh and Kevin; and a grand daughter Brittany, who will be 17 in a couple of weeks. I dabble in crafting. I make Christmas stockings and I have a web site still under construction. When I get it going it will be "santasbooty.com". I like to sew. I used to make my own clothes even when in school. I've done a few craft shows though not for a while. Just moved and things are a mess. I used to be a hairdresser and worked for Vince Claps in Fairmount, but, the allergies got real bad and had to quit. So, I became a stay at home mom. I earned every gray hair. I have a chihuahua mix named Max. (Did you ever have to by clothes for a dog?) He's one of those demon dogs that barks at his own shadow and I have a cat named Daisy living with us. She belongs to Britt. I also have her freakin' birds. Two finches named Sugar and Caramel. During the summer I work at the Sterling Rennaisance Faire. You will find me at the Lionheart Hats booth on the upper road. I love that place. ere 4 years and I don't think my boss is going to let me go. She loves me. Guess I do my job too well. I collect the fish made by Renae Taylor and I have a large collection of Santas. That's gotten out of hand. I used to collect Star Trek.( Any body want any action figures?) I have collected Little English cottages and tea pots and things but I started to run out of room. So some things had to disappear. Just attend the Marine Corps ball last weekend, again. I live my life vicariously through Pat. He did three tours in Vietnam in the navy, was in the Marine corps reserve and then the army national guard. He also did 28 years with the Syracuse fire department and I kept the home fires burning, so to speak. He also wrote a great book, yet to be published. I won't hold my breath. I wrote poetry for a while and I think it's pretty good. Some for children. I stopped when I became medicated and my grand daughter grew up. No depression and no muse. I need to try again. Lost my Mom and my brother Mike. My dad is still in the same house and the rest of us are scattered. Took a trip across the country 6 years ago. Can't wait to do it again. Went to a wedding in California and drove so we could see some sights. Who needs to leave the country. There is so much here. If I think of anything else I will update. Britt is waiting to play WOW.
