Life
My Spouse
Would you believe that I met him at a bar? Well, almost. (This is my second husband.)
My daughter (with her husband) was involved with an alternative music band-singing and so forth. She invited me to see the band while they were playing at the neighborhood icehouse that the band called home.
Well, I went to see the band, and met several nice people, one of which asked me to dance. A month later, my daughter had a Christmas party at her house, and she asked Dennis to come. Our friends later told me that they had spent the evening watching us act like two magnets. Drifting off and then coming together again and again. They knew something was up! We were engaged on May 7th that next year, and married in February of the next year.
My Kids
My daughter Shelley went to work for Toshiba International, in their freight department; then moved to Traffic because of knowledge of international shipping and logistics. Attended Houst...Expand for more
on Community College-received AA degree in International Trade-Logistics-GPA of 3.69.
My second kid, David, the smartest one in the bunch works for "Murder by the Book", a bookstore that specializes in spy, espionage, thriller, murder mysteries and such. Working on a degree in English and Film Studies. Plus he writes.
My youngest, Neal, who favors his father (who died 6 days before Neal graduated from high school), attended Sam Houston State University and became an English teacher.
My Job
The company that I work for, Guidant Corp. manufactures medical devices, like stents, pacemakers, etc. Our business group is Radiation Therapy manufacturing a new device. I am Admin to the Director of Radiation Safety. I work with and for 8 men, who are all either medical or health physicists. Hey, I'm learning.
In my "spare" time, I attend the University of Phoenix-BS in e-Business. Amazingly, I still have a 3.92 there. Really a boost to the ego.
