Nancy's Story
Life
Life has been every good to me and I try to remember every day that God is with me making me who I am. I met my husband on a blind date in May of 1976. We were married in September...a worldwind courtship and have celebrated our 32d wedding anniversary. We've had our ups and downs...doesn't everyone...but we are very much in love and looking forward to retirement. We have 3 beautiful girls, one handsome son, one terrific daughter in law, and twin grandsons. God has been very good to us. We are empty nesters and enjoying every minute of it. I watch my grandsons for my daughters so they can work to support them. I am looking forward to additional grandchildren when the time is right; let's not put the ca...Expand for more
rt before the horse. I sure do miss my school friends. I have lost contact with everyone I went to school with all the way from Kindergarten through College and I have only found very few.
School
My biggest High School and College crush was John Robert Steven Gloss...or Robby Shine for short. Not only was he my crush he was the man I thought I would marry. I fell in love with his mother and father and even his grandmother too. Everyone thought we made the perfect pair. Unfortunately things didn't work out as either of us had thought they would. I still keep in touch with his mom...I miss them both. But, as the song says, "Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers." I just wish we could be friends.
