The day after I graduated from High School, I started working full time to support my parents-because I couldn't live there unless I did and had no where else to go. Making minimum wage at SS Kresges at the Pontiac Mall, I paid 53% of their house payment - and couldn't wait to get out. Both my parents had mental issues, and were pedophiles. It was a great and happy day when they left this earth and I never had to worry about them harming another child. A year after graduation, I took a position at Montgomery Wards as a cash sales auditor at the Tel-Twelve Mall in Southfield, MI. A much better fit. I was the first employee to be trained on computer registers and ran the training program for both the retail stores as well as the other auditors. It was a great job. I married , and moved to first to Roscommon Michigan, then after a few weeks to the Alpena, Michigan area. Started attending the community college there, but couldn't land a job so moved back to Rochester Michigan in the Ludlow apartments in town and got a job with Church's Lumber working in Accounting. We lived there a year, had a beautiful daughter then bought a home in Lake Orion, MI. Had two more beautiful daughters, happily got a divorce (he was an abusive POS), finished two associates degrees Summa Cum Laude at OCC and worked as a Staff Accountant. Met my current husband in my very last class at OCC, I only needed one credit for an Accounting degree and that was the class where I met the love of my life, Chris. Funny how life works out because I almost blew off getting that one credit. We married 2 years later in 1987 and I supported him while he finished his bachelors and I began mine at Oakland University while working full time. It was not easy, but I got through it graduating with Departmental Honors with a B.S. in MIS in 1992 from Oakland University.
