Sometimes when I was little, I would tell strangers who aked me what my name was that it was Betty because I loved Betty Rubble on the Flintstones. My last name is the last name of my grandparents who raised me, Cook was my last name at birth and my father's last name. I started using Cook when I was in high school because I was tired of sometimes being Nancy Pastorius and sometimes Nancy Cook. Everytime there was some legal thing happening, I had to have documentation or a letter from my grandparents stating why I really wasn't actually a Pastorius and actually a Cook., which was on my birth certificate and batism certificate.
