Nancy's Story
Life
I attended four high schools in 3 years because of my father's military career. I started at West Milwaukee High and then transferred to Prince George High in Virginia. We moved between my junior and senior years, first to Puerto Rico for 4 months and then on to Balboa High in the Canal Zone. I played softball and basketball at Prince George, and was involved in Drama in all of the schools. I started college in the Canal Zone, but left to live in exciting New York City.
I met my husband, Richard in NY and after we were married we left to return to my home town of Milwaukee. Richard joined the Army and we began our life of travleing for the next 20 years. We had two children, a daughter, Nancy, and a son, Robert. We spent a good deal of our Army career in Germany and loved it. epted a job in the Middle East and we spent 15 months in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and 7 months in Alexandria, Egypt. These were interesting times but hard, because our children were in the States going to college. They were lucky enough to visit us in Egypt for the Millennium.
After that assignment we returned to Connecticut for 2 years until the plant my husband worked at closed. We decided to move to Florida to be near our daughter and our son decided to move with us. We are currently living in Tampa enjoying the sun and the beautiful beaches. We look forward to doing some travleing just for fun!
LATEST UPDATE! We're back in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on the second year of a 2-year contract. Heading to Tampa in Sept. to prepare for our daughter's wedding (Oct. 8).
Fast Forward to 2021: we finally retired in 2019 and are back home in Florida. We still love to travel, doing lots of gardening and swimming in the pool.
