GRANDCHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES,VARIOUS COMMUNITY GROUPS AND ACTIVITIES . I CELEBRATED MY 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY IN 1907 ! WE MADE IT!!!!
We celebrated our 54th Anniversary in 2011 but Phil died in October 2011 after a long battle with various heart problems.
He almost made it to his 80th birthday but missed it by three weeks. Our family is very thankful we had
him with us for so many years. He will be missed and remembered by so many friends and family members.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up and my family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right!.I had twenty-five fun and exciting years teaching in Fredericksburg but I was also thrilled to be able to retire early!!My retirement provided time to help wi...Expand for more
th my grandchildren when they were young and to spend time with my parents when they retired to Culpeper Baptist Home.
I love to read, talk with and visit my friends and garden.I can't believe I am able to still enjoy some of my old high school friends. I still play bridge with Lydia and Joyce Anne and enjoy seeing Mable Ann Strickler occassionally.
Our children were 'finally' all educated and are now leading healthy, happy and productive lives. They live in Richmond and Baltimore which makes visiting difficult at times but we still enjoy their company and are so proud of them all! They still like us too!! Most of the time!!
My grandcildren are growing up so fast and I miss their young years and our fun playtime together. We always had so much fun with them at the beach in the summers. Now they are so busy and into more exciting things! Not much time for the 'old people' but are still caring and wonderful to be with on visits.
Phil had many heart problems through the years and died in 2011. We miss him very much but remember the good times with him.
Life may not always be what you planned, but as they say,..... "While you're here, you might as well dance! "
