Nancy's Story
Life
2010 finds my husband Ken and I still working - we enjoy our tax clients, many of whom have been with us over 41 years.
We are looking forward to attending the Big Reno Gun and Knife Show in mid April. We've been attending these shows for over 20 years. Ken is a collector of many treasures.
We'll be driving up to Oregon and Washington later then scoot home to take part in Memorial Day events here. Ken takes our restored WW-II 1942 Army Jeep to the events, parades and to airport when Collings Foundation brings the bombers in. The 2nd weekend in June is rodeo weekend here with parade on Saturday and rodeo both Sat. & Sun. - its always fun. We'll be traveling again this fall before Ken and our son go off to North Dakota hunting in November.
We're looking forward to our only grandson's 11th birthday soon - he is a delight and blessing to all our little family.
After many years after working as a secretary for various large companies, it has ...Expand for more
been an interesting challenge to be self-employed. Our first adventure was in a little vineyard where we grew zinfandel grapes, second and most demanding was as a moderately successful owner/operator of a Baskin-Robbins Ice Store for 13 years, and for many years as a landlord and as office staff for Ken who is an Enrolled Agent/tax preparer. Our son Norm has joined us in the tax business.
We have met some health challenges and are grateful to be able to greet our next 'high adventure' with verve. We love our country and enjoy visiting every nook and cranny. We are very concerned about the direction the politicians are taking us.
We participate in our local historical society, valley garden club and some political events. We enjoy musical productions, plays, dining out with friends and we participate in a warm water exercise program regularly (which helps the creeky old joints). We are always looking forward to a new high adventure (trip).
