Nancy's Story
After graduation I worked at the Daily Signal for a couple of years. Then I met Mike at a club in Venice Beach. A year later I followed my husband-to-be to Eureka, CA where we attended Humboldt State Univ. I never graduated, but did enjoy Journalism classes and time spent as a reporter for the Lumberjack. I married Michael Patrick Wilde in 1974. Mike and I lived five wonderful years in Santa Barbara. Our time was spent hang gliding, surfing, and of course, working. newspaper. We began our family in 1979. After the birth of our first son I joined the ranks of "stay-at-home-mom". We moved to Ventura, then later to Ojai Valley. Ojai became "home". It was a beautiful place to raise our three children. Our oldest son and youngest daughter are now married. Our middle son is living at home while attending college. We have been blessed with four lively grandchildren. After a lifetime in Southern California we decided it was time for a change. Two years ago we moved to Washington State and are now loving our life in the Great Northwest.
