Life
Greetings! After surviving nursing school in N.J. I bought a one-way ticket to Miami Beach and have lived happily ever after in Florida. I'm in north central Fla, so we get down into the teens overnight in winter, with highs in the upper 60's--not bad for winter, and never have to shovel the white stuff, unless it's sand....
I've spent the last 20 years at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. I spent my 1st 20 years in nsg. in the Intensive Care Unit then I spent time in hospital administration--policies, P.I. etc, and now serve as the Gastroenterology Clinical Coordinator...Expand for more
. I like my work and truly enjoy the patients. I've met POW's from WW II, Bataan, Iwo Jima...what incredible stories they tell!
I married in '77 and have one 19 y/o daughter. I was widowed in '93, but try to be a merry widow--it catches people off guard and makes them smile. I wouldn't trade my life for all the tea in China. And I'd never want to be 17 again.
I love meditation, psychic study, alternative therapies, learning about things and knowledge just for it's own sake, long walks in state parks and scuba. I guess I really do belong to the Age of Aquarius after all. 'Nuff said.
