Nancy's Story

College I loved going to Hamot School of Nursing. It was the gateway to my future. I met many other wonderful young women there and am still in contact with some. I joined the Army after nursing school and had the privilige of serving in Japan with another Hamot grad., Mary Hamilton. e for our soldiers in the VN War. Military nursing is a unique challenge. I served stateside but my 2 years in Japan in an Evac Hospital, the 249th, and year in VN in the 3rd Surgical Hospital were the most rewarding in my life. It was a rewarding, a challenging,a traumatic, a sad and a life changing event. It was my honor to care for our soldiers.
