Nancy's Story

Life Here's what's up: Moved to a suburb of Birmingham, Al in 1974, and it's hard to believe I've lived here for 39 years already! I was in retail from 1968-1988, some sales, and my final position as fragrance buyer for a local family owned establisment. I married in 1980 to a man I met here, Randy. We have 5 sons, Justin, Jonathan, Jason, Jordan & Jamie, ranging in age from 20-29.I am now a domestic engineer (homemaker) and own a business as featured below. My goals in life (that I decided upon as a junior in HS) was to move away from NY, marry at 30 (was 29), have 4-6 kids, and when retired, travel the US in a camper. I always loved camping, and our sons grew up doing this with us and the scouts (we have 5 Eagle scouts). I was stricken with TRANSVERSE MYELITIS, an inflammation of the spinal cord which causes motor & sensory dysfunction, in 1998. I manage to "keep on truckin'", despite the pain 24/7. It's very rare, but I am blessed that I am NOT paralyzed, as I should have been according to the Drs. So it goes in life..........we just make the best of lemons, turning them into lemonade. Now that I am in my retirement years, I am camp hosting at Wind Creek State Park about 5 months a year.I love camping so much that our plan is to sell the house and move to that lake and camp host for a long time. Hope all is well with everyone. I have fond memories of my days at WHS. Blessing to all..... Workplace JEWELS BY PARK LANE Do you have dreams? Then this is the time to start living them!
