Nancy's Story
My husband Jim & I moved to Ky after he retired from the IL State Police; I met him when I was a dispatcher for them after graduation. We had 3 girls, Melissa, Kimberly & Jennaleee & 1 boy, James Patrick "JP" & adopted our youngest foster daughter, Taralynne. ll & never got to meet our last granddaughter or either of the great grandkids. It's hard to find a "new normal" after losing your soulmate of almost 42 years of marriage.
Our daughter, Kimberly, lives in IL so I do make several trips up there a year & 2 of her girls come & spend the summer in Ky. Can't say I miss the IL winters at all! As a general rule we don't get a lot of snow in South Central Ky
