Nancy's Story

After graduating high school I married and began my family. I lived in Upper Michigan for many years, and in N. Carolina for a couple years. I didn't attend college until my children were a bit older. I graduated from Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba, MI, and Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI. Then I began my career in education in West Michigan. While teaching I also earned my Master's Degree from Central Michigan University. I am now retired (for the most part). rses at the university level part time. I love it! I remarried 20 years ago and have a wonderful life with my husband. We both ride Honda Gold Wings (that's how we met), and love to camp, travel, and ride. We have many grandchildren and love spending time with family. Right now I am anticipating a fall camping/riding trip when the trees are all in color (my favorite time of year). It's always interesting to learn how life has turned out for friends and classmates from high school. I feel very blessed with my life!

Our granddaughter is growing up!
Al chased our granddaughter Jaden up a tree.
Our first camping trip. The fire is nice! Hot dogs and cheesy potatoes for dinner.
Sunset at the campground. Chili night but the fire feels great! Yes, we are camping in our back yard. It's a great way to enjoy what we love even though we are all staying put. What creative ideas have you come up with?
Remembering loved ones. Seems impossible that they are gone, but so thankful none of them had to experience thus covid 19!
