Life I had not edited this thing in 5 years so I figured I better. Met Mike from Crown Point in 1977 and it was love at first sight and we have been together ever since. We have two kids Amy 30 & John 26, they both will be a year older soon in 2014. Mike is retired now from ArcelorMittal Steel that used to be ISG and then before that Bethlehem Steel. Bethlehem Steel went bankrupt a few years ago. He got screwed out of his full pension and now gets about half of it from the PBGC. He was 2 years away from retirement when his mill was bought and his pension went to the Pension Guarantee Corporation. Which in turn the pension was cut in half and then after taxes that leaves not a whole lot to live on, if you know what I mean! He now is on SS disability. They made him retire last year. He was not ready at all and felt like he was missing on not finishing his work. I worked at US Steel before having kids. I love to say I have been retired since I was 26 years old, without pay though. Will have a $137 pension when I am 62, hey every little bit helps. Wish Mike would of stayed at US Steel instead of going to Bethlehem steel, he thought the new mill would do better, HA! He was wrong! Stay at home wife now the kids have flown the coop. John is an IT manager in Tampa.We are sad he is so far away but I look forward to my trips down there. Amy is a photographer and her studio is in St. Joe Michigan. She is married to Matthew a teacher at Chesterton high school. They own a home in Michigan City. They have 3 doggies.
