Nancy's Story
Workplace
38 years of teaching and I'm still enjoying it. Currently, it is art K-5 and severe special needs art, music K and 1, a tambourine troupe of 2nd through 4th graders and a tap
class that's supposed to teach math to 2nd through 5th graders, but we get hung up on stuff like left and right as often as we discuss the math stuff. In my spare time, I take 2 dance classes myself - tap and ballet - and consider myself the oldest beginning ballarin...Expand for more
a in the world, and to round things off, teach 4th grade CCD for my parish.
The other major endeavor is my art and I've shown my fiber art, mostly knitted sculpture, in several shows including three at the Fuller Art Museum in Brockton. Currently, I'm working out the problems associated with knitting mermaids and plan to start needle felting to create the upper figure. Most of my work is based on marine life, and my favorite piece is the seahorse.
