September 2012 brought a new chapter in this long and frutiful life filled with people and places, both foreign and domestic, along with an ever changing growth foward better things to come.
1964 was the begining. Now it's 2012 ... 47 years! The rest is a hisotry of movment and change with love and laughter, tears and more change,
Outta High School in 1965 then to New Mexico State for 3 years then 1 year working. Then New Orleans, La. and 4 years of marriage, a daughter, a job and a husband in Medical School. 1973 brought me to California and a return to college and 1st grade for my daughter, a divorce and 2 part-time jobs. 1976 life was graduate school and 3 part-time jobs including a TV job as the talent selling s...Expand for more
tereo's on the air. In 1977 the TV gig brought an offer from a local station to fill the 'female' gap on the Nightly News. Took the job, married again, learned to make a living writing and 35 years later Iit had become a career. Turned out to be far more successful than the 2nd marriages,
Still a long term relationship going on 30+years is doing just fine. My daughter is happily married with two teenage girls of her own.
Last trip to Las Cruces was 2010. Las Cruces High looked pretty much the same but Change has always been good to me. So now the a chapter - retirement. Yes, I hung up my ABC30 Action News tools for short days and longer nights, time to write the great american novel, visit New Mexico more often and enjoy life's next chapter.
