Nanette's Story
Life doesn¿t always turn out the way you expect. What¿s been your biggest surprise?
Getting divorced and finding my soulmate in the process. Didn't get married with divorce being an option for future problem solving. That only works if you have your eyes wide open about yourself and spouse before you get married. "Rose colored" glasses are NOT a good thing, honesty with yourself is. I've learned alot about myself going thru divorce..stuff I ignored before the wedding (stuff always there). Religion, income and education levels are more important than you realize at 24. Still, knowing all this I wouldn't change the past because the past is what produced 3 wonderful children. And its not that bad finding your soulmate at 46, there's still alot of life left to live.

Don't have one at the moment. Hopefully one day in the near future that special person(referred to in "my social life") will become my spouse
My Social Life
One very special person. He makes me laugh and smile. He loves me. I've learned that you can have a life after children. We like to spend time with our 5 (c...Expand for more
ombined) children, go whitewater rafting, rock climbing, skiing, travelling (esp. to Germany and Switzerland), helping out at Holy Cross Church, and Sunday dinners with my parents and any available children.
My Kids
Bettina will be graduating from U of DE in May. Looking for a job, hopefully in Europe...her prefernces are Germany or France. Steffi is a sophomore at UD, Miss Eastern Shore 2008, and will be competing in the Miss DE pageant in June. At the moment she is in London for winter session. Joshua is a freshman at St. Thomas More, enjoys singing, rock climbing, soccer and his oma and opa. Steffi made it back safe and sound from London and Paris. Now we get to focus on becoming Miss Delaware.
My Job
labor and delivery nurse. Still there and enjoying it. Home health nursing for newborns and moms. Very lucrative sidejob
Workplace
started working in homehealth as a sideline, with new moms, high risk babies, and pregnant women, and discovered I like it. Not enough to quit labor and delivery, but enough to keep it as a part-time job. First time I've ever had an adult male as a patient.
