Nate's Story
Life
IÂve had some ups and down sense high school. Right after summer I went off to school at Humboldt State. I had never cut a class before, but I learned how to at college. My grade slowly got worse and worse until I had too many units but not enough GPA. I moved back to my hometown and tried DVC. I started working full-time for Pleasant Hill park & rec. School got to be less and less important until I stopped all together. I keep going with recreation for a few years. Soon a new supervisor took over and she didnÂt work well with the lower management. After resigning for that job I took an offer and moved in with an old friend out in Sonora. There was little to now work out the for a young pool manager like me so I tried working for the fast-food industry. It sucked, I quit after 4 days. tinez working at a golf course, the owner was a busy man and he let my live there to help keep an eye on the place, security reasons. As time went on I found that I had too many friends that I like to hang out with and I had to move off the golf course and back in with family. I picked up another job with the city of Walnut Creek and work two jobs for a year with very few days off. I even worked for the cityÂs Police for a while, but thatÂs was not the line of work for me. I found what I had good skills for when I went to Bartending school, my first time back in school sense 2001. I graduated top of my class and became a teacher there until a large hotel picked me up. I now work for the Marriott and they have started the wheels turning for me to move along fast in the hospitality business. I plan to be moving north, by spring 05, to go to school for business and hospitality degrees. ThatÂs it for now.
