Nathan's Story

Life After graduating from Boston Univ. School of Law, I was fortunate to enter the sports world. Today, I am the Commissioner of the NCAA's largest playing Conference, the Gulf South. My home is Birmingham, AL---12 years on October 18th, 2004. In 1979, I wrote THIS DATE IN NEW YORK YANKEES HISTORY, an almanac that went through three printings. In 1982, my second book, SUPERSTARS, STARS & JUST PLAIN HEROES hit the stands. I've been very lucky to achieve these things, but I've never forgotten the great teachers at Ramapo Sr. HS who helped get me there. For those of you who attended Pomona JHS, you might like to know that I recently attended the 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration for Abe & Faith S...Expand for more
chuster, my 9th grade Phys. Ed. and English teachers, respectively. Some of the teachers you might remember who were there: Bill Darden, Loraine McCabe, Mort Meyers, Bill Nicholson, Steve Perell, Karl Buetti, Fred Bloom, Rich Mezaros and Gail Reynolds. I continue to do a lot of traveling, hitting Hawaii every year since 1993, and also getting to Spain, Peru, Guatemala, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Jamaica, Puerto Rico (many times) and Israel (twice in 2003, once in 2004). If you have not visited Israel, you need to go---it IS SAFE and it is incredible. My parents still live in the house I grew up in near Pomona JHS. My brothers (Marshall---NYC; Bart---Springfield, NJ) and their families are well.
