Neal's Story
Life
As soon as I was able, I joined the Army. I spent 3 years operating heavy equipment in Alaska and Oklahoma until I was honorably discharged. I came home with a wife and 2 children and found that jobs were nearly impossible to find. This was right after the VietNam conflict and times were tough for everyone. It didn't take long to find out that if I didn't get moving I would end up on welfare like so many others at that time, so I moved to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
I worked at Hess Oil Company there for 1 year until my wife convinced me that it wasn't a good place to bring up our children. As it turns out, to her, there was no good place, and we spent the next five years just traveling and looking for something. ( I never found out what). Finally I had enough and moved back home, a place my wife refused to go to, so I started over by myself.
I worked in various factories around home until I found ELSA llc. They make automotive components for Ford, Mitsubishi, and Su...Expand for more
baru. As time went by I found myself working my way up through the ranks and became a supervisor of about 20 people and then started doing the start-up of the new lines coming into the plant. That company sent me to Japan to help with any problems that the new lines may have prior to coming over to the plant. This was the impetus for continuing my education. I Just finished my BS in business management. I am looking forward to any contact from old friends. I am currently looking for new opportunities and possibly a new location.
Well the first part of this was old. I have found new work thanks to my degree and I am now working in Castleton as a production manager for a small company that I really like. I left ELSA after 15 years and never looked back. Strange how things work out. There are a lot of people from my past that I would love to see again. Contact me and see if we can find something to talk about.
