Edward (Ned)'s Story
I danced in the dream scene as Curley in musical Oklahoma at Richardson High. My dance partner was a lovely young lady named Margaret Herron. I passed my GED in my Junior year and started college as an Art Major so I missed my Senior year. Did well, but not much pay.
I played right-wing for the first 2 founding years on the Dallas Harlequins Rugby Team and just had our 50th anniversary.
For work, I moved on to electronics and computer games and ran 2 arcades in the Detroit area, and owned a support technician company. One game route paid $250 a week with bags of quarters, a weeks pay for Mrs. Pac-Man machine :-)
Next received a 2-year degree in computer science in Michigan and started a great career path in high-end databases with travel to Egypt, Japan, and the Philippines. That lasted until 9/11 and all contracts dried up. I then took what I knew with compu...Expand for more
ters and databases and merged it with my father's work, as a lead exploration geologist. We were able to generate a large exploration database on the Eastern Shelf of Texas with a high success rate of drilling oil fields. I still work in the oil industry developing prospects and oilfield exploration tools. Though on April 20, 2020, the price of WTI Crude dropped to .$0.01 cent a barrel Down from $60 a barrel at the beginning of the year. May make work in the industry tough for a bit. Now July 11th, 2022 Oil is $102.50 this industry is up again :-)
I have several wonderful children, though it took a few wives to settle down with my current wife of 33 years, who let me to becoming a Seventh Day Adventist. Wish I had been on that path sooner. Running the children's church club including camping for 12 years was a blast. Hope everyone stays safe and keeps healthy
