Neil's Story
Life
Married Diane Fisher (class of 62) in 1981. It was my second marriage (took me twice to get it right) and we have 6 kids between us. Have 2 grand daughters in Houston TX, one in Palm Desert, and one in Maine.
Graduated from Cal State Long Beach.
Lived in Orange County until 1990. Then we moved to Maine and we love it. Maine is 85% forest and only has a million people. The biggest city in the state is 65,000. I have a pretty little house on the banks of a quiet river called the Presumpscot. I have a little boat, a private beach, and love to watch the bald eagles dive for fish on the river.
I worked for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Project Manager in their IT division until June 2005. I spent my whole career in computers. Now I am semi-retired.
My biggest passion i...Expand for more
n life is traveling. I have driven to every state in the continental US and visited about half of the national parks. I have also been to Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, England, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, Greece, China, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Belize, Honduras, and Egypt.
I have raised St. Bernard dogs, built my own house, owned horses, was art director for Orange County Life magazine, worked with a Navajo Indian school in Dennehotso AZ, and am interested in history, anthropology, archeology, astronomy, and life-long learning. I do wood-working, writing, web design, and anything creative. I am a tenacious friend and still have contact with many folks from North High. Email me at NRuecker-AT-Roadrunner-DOT-COM
