Neil's Story

Been very busy with my Missionary work with the Native Americans. Its a lot of work and trying to get food donations and nice clothing donations is getting harder every year. Just trying to reach out to a forgotten people. These are a third world people right in the middle of America. They live in Hogans an shacks with no running water and no electricity. They have to drive 15 or more miles just to fill up plastic jugs they have with water. Most Hogans only have a wood burning stove in the center and a bed and tables around the walls. I have been there so much that I am getting to love it. I am praying for supporters that are willing to help me with donations. Food, nice clothes, shoes, personal hygiene supplies, and bottle water. My desire is to make no less than 6 trips this year. Pray for our work that God will be with us. I always wanted to be a gangster when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a stupid idea. As it turns out, they were right. I wound up being a minister and it has been the most rewarding choice I have ever made. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Bob Ross, because He was a very good friend to me in school.. I learned that your kids are just your learning years, When you get grandkids, you know more how to raise them than you did your own. nt age is 69. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be long dead. I was so completely close to the truth.. My best friends would tell you I'm Backward, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as arrogant. I share my home with my wife, which is my best friend. We have shared so much in our lifetime. We have had the joy of doing a lot of travel and seeing lots of wonderful things an meeting some awesome people. I came in third in the Texas - Oklahoma Tae Kwon Do tournament in 1987. Should have got first but they only had time for one more fight. They threw three pieces of paper on the ground and I picked up the one that had a 3 on it. The other two fought for first place. My teacher contested it but it did no good. He knew I would have taken first place. My oldest friends are Billy Cochran an Dee Pierce. We met when I moved to our home on the south side. we partnered up and have been close friends ever since. We still call each other and visit as often as we can, We have been friends since the fifth grade. I am now 76 and Dee has gone to be with Jesus, Billy and I are still best friends. We have a dinner at grill on the hill the 2nd wednesday of every month. My first job was at selling donuts, where I got paid 10 cents a bag to sell them. What I remember most about it is I sold so many that the owner would take me out on Saturday's himself and gave me extra cause i sold so many..
