Hello to anyone reading this. Thanks to everyone who has emailed me. I am sorry I have not put together enough class reunions. We will have another reunion one day...so much to do, so little time. LSU Lakes - This is the plan for University Lake. Almost everything in Green and Light blue will "marsh," "wetlands," and/or overgrown shorelines or islands. This will include 65 acres of land where there was once water. Th
LSU Lakes -  They just posted the photo below to show what they what they hope their 60 or so acres of "seeded" landscaping will look like after 7 months. My thoughts:
First - we know better. It will look like the weeds and

this what they say will happen.  LSU plans to convert a large part of the lakes into "marsh" and "living shorelines." These will be planted with seeds, "plugs" and plants from pots. We have seen
LSU LAKES - they plan 14 foot wide boardwalks through the weed plantings, to be shared by pedestrians, bikes, dogs and strollers.
What drains in the Lakes -
“They” justify the planned weed shores by saying they are to “treat” rain runoff. That is nonsense. The shores are likely to contribute more organic matter to the lakes than they could filter.  Bi

        The orangish areas are where "they" plan to plant seeds for their  weedy "interim landscaping." Those areas are not to be dredged and will mostly be "marsh" or "wetlands."
