Nena's Story
Life
We moved to Katy, TX (just west of Houston) 5 years ago after spending 18 months in Warrington, England where I was transferred for my job. I work for Aspen Technology, a company that supplies software to the process industries. I was assigned to lead a project for refineries located in Norway and Denmark. I am married and have 2 children - a 14 year old girl and an 11 year old boy. I have worked on multiple projects at AspenTech, including projects in Channelview, Texas; Norway; Denmark; India and Venezuala. nt software for the Petroleum and Bulk Chemicals industry. Currently I am technical lead for implementation of our software solution at a Chemical Plant near Amarillo, Texas. My son loves soccer and my daughter is getting geared up for High School, where she plans to start her drama career.
Workplace
I have multiple roles - Team Manager, Project Manager, Technical Lead, Business Development. Working on projects for Process Industry customers. Most of the work is in integration of software, usually my company's software and occasionally integration to external software (such as SAP).
