Nick's Story
Life
Hi all!
I moved to southern California in 1980 with my daughter Leomi. After being there for 13 years, it was time to get away from the fast pace and "BMW" lifestyle that was so pervasive around the Los Angeles area. Leomi had already moved to southern Virginia, so there was little reason to stay, and lots of reasons to leave.
I ended up moving to Durango, Colorado, a small town of 15,000 in the Four Corners area that I had discovered while camping. I had no idea how I was to make a living, but trusted that something would come up.
I ended up starting an advertising agency which now has 6 employees and a bunch of clients--all small since there are really no large clients to have.
I remarried about 2000 to Anne, a lady from England I met while she and her son were on vacation and touring the Four Corners area. They are both official residents of the US now.
We have a log house on 40 acres with 50 chickens (a hobby that has gotten out of control), two horses, 1 dog and a cat. The deer and other wild animals walk through our yard daily. The deer are good, but a few years ago we had a bear go after our chickens. There is als...Expand for more
o a mountain lion who roams around, but since they have a large area they cover, we seldom see him.
Our home is in the middle of "nowhere", the closest town being Ignacio (homeland of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe) about 25 minutes away. We actually live on private land within the reservation boundaries. We make the journey into Durango for work which takes us about 40 minutes. Durango is the "big" city with a population of about 15,000. When we start feeling city depraved, we journey to Albuquerque, New Mexico about 3.5 hours away. They have real stores there....
If you saw my photo, that is really me holding a drum under a tree in our front yard which looks over a canyon that is on our place. Yep, we own our own canyon. Anyway, the spiritual part of me runs traditional type ceremonials such as a sweat lodges and sometimes I am able to assist people through shamanic doctoring (healing). If you want to know more about that part, you can go to nicholasnoblewolf dot com.
I am active on Facebook. Friend me there: facebook dot com/nicholasnoblewolf
Thanks for reading about me. I hope you receive many blessings in your life.
