Nick's Story
Life
Well lets see, after graduation I worked in an autobody shop for a couple of years, then got a job with Coastal Towing where I worked on tugboats for the next 5 years. During that time I married a girl from school and we settled down. After the stint at CT I got a job in a warehouse. We had our first daughter, Sarah, in fall of '93. We moved to Austin in early 94 to be closer to the inlaws. In '96 we had our second daughter, Rachel. I was working at a semiconductor company and doing pretty well. The industry took a downturn and I got laid off in 98. I then went to work for the State at the Dept of Health. I worked for the State for the next 5 years. During this time things went south for me and my first wife. We had 10 good(?) years of marriage and two beautiful children together but we divorced in fall of 2001. She was/is a wonderful woman, whom I wish the best in life for. In 2002 I dated a few women until I met Kellie. When I met Kellie we both just hit it off so well. alot of it to learning from past mistakes and just generally being more mature and realizing it ain't all about me. It's funny how life works. Just when you think things really suck hard God puts someone or something in your life to make it better. I can thank him now for alot of unanswered prayers. As for now my life is great. I was laid off in 02 after the 911 attacks due to budget cuts and as of yet haven't returned to the workforce but then I don't have to now. I married well I guess and things couldn't be better. We just bought a house in a nice neighborhood in North Austin and I just got a new fishing boat. I take care of the house and my wife and I fish every chance I get! Kellie and I just got back from a 2 week vacation to North Carolina where we went to a bunch of NASCAR races. We are both NASCAR nuts! We have an inhouse rivalry between our drivers! She is a Junior fan and I like Jimmie Johnson so Sundays around here get pretty interesting! We are planning on taking the kids to Disney Land or World this summer not sure which at this point. That's about it for now.
