Nicole's Story
Well, where do I begin? I am a proud mother of a 12 year old son and a 9 year old daughter. I've been married for 9 years, but am in the process of a divorce. I've been through so many trials, but I have prevailed due to God. I have dedicated my life to the LORD. I am an evangelist in training. God has called me to start a prison ministry. Right now, I'm writing encouraging letters to prisoners. In September of last year, I was incarcerated for an incident with my husband and his girlfriend for the first time ever in my life. I was facing 2 to 20 years felony.God used that experience to deliver me from a 6 and a half year drug addiction to crack and a destructive marriage. God found favor in me and I only did one month and three weeks. My charge was dropped to a misdemeanor A. God has delivered me from depression and suicide. So I've seen the inside of a jail cell, I've been shackeled and locked down for 23 hours a day. Not a pleasant experience. But all the honor and glory goes to God. It has been by His strength, love and mercy that I have made it this far and that I am the woman I am now. I live my life for Him. But because of that experience, I have compassion for prisoners. em needs so much reform. I eventually want to set up trust funds for inmates who have no family or their family cannot help them financially. I plan on opening halfway houses to help inmates get re-introduced to society. Help them find jobs, homes,etc. I'm also called to a singing ministry. I'm only at the beginning stages of my ministry, but God has His own time. I have 2 years of college under my belt, but no degree yet. I plan on pursuing my degree in Psychology when God feels that it is time. Right now God is training me in His school. My only focus right now, besides my children, is winning souls for the LORD and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. Many of times my life tends to get out of control still, but God always sees me through. God has given me a wonderful man, who is waiting for God to open the prison doors and bring him home so he can join me in this fight out here. We are just waiting on parole to answer. God has done so much in his life and my life that we know that God will give him this powerful testimony. I have not been successful in materialistic things or financial gain, but I am extremely rich and successful in the LORD. Well, that's about all I can think of for now.
