Nicole's Story
Life
As of today I am currently working with the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, Office of Public Affairs as a Public Information Officer, Information Manager. I've held many positions within the agency over the last 16 years working my way up the ladder and it has afforded me the opportunity to become an SME on pretty much anything CBP handles. I am also in a Master Certificate program at The George Washington University for Project Management.
I don't have any children, I don't think I really ever did, which means that it is up to my brother to produce grandchildren (my parents have given up on me).
On the weekends (when I'm free) I like to hang out with my friends at a bar on Quantico Marine Base - my friend owns the resturant, I live right down the road and I'm dating a...Expand for more

Workplace
Started in 1990 as a summer hire and holiday hire for U.S. Customs Service whilst attending Kent State University. After my third year at Kent I decided that school was not for me so I quit and started working full time at Customs. I've been through many offices while employed by Customs including Personnel, Investigations, Finance, Commissioner's office and Public Affairs. After the creation of Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection (CBP)in 2003 I continue to work for Public Affairs as a Public Information Officer/Manager, IT liaison, software Administrator, Operations Manager, Local Property Officer and as of today Acting Director.
I am also in a Master Certificate program at The George Washington University for Project Management.
