Nicole's Story

Life let's see.i'm not a techy(yes i listen to techno but am not enthrawled in the world of technology, your life is a timeframe with an unknown expiration.)so forgive me if i don't exhibit "online lingo".since the end of my sophmore year at ParkCenter in '97 i've been living on my own.Yes right before age 16 i started living without parental & adult authority.(i also had my first name changed to Nicola at that time to add even more an air of independance) it lead to alot of interesting times where i found myself living in minneapolis.no it's not what it's cracked up to be if you experince the real downtown life as i did.so then i lived in uptown off & on for roughly 7 years. I finished school of course. Except instead of graduating on time i took a hiatus for a while in case the world was to end on 12/31/99. Which it didn't but the way i was living i would have been pretty satisfied with everything i accomplished at that point. So in Feb.2000 i got caught up with what i needed to do to get a simple piece of paper saying i graduated.By the middle of Feb.2000 i had it complete.I've had some pretty cool jobs. And have done alot with my rec time. spent alot of time inside first ave to do the things one does inside a nightclub. so by the time i was actually legal (18 & 21) i was pretty burnt out on the club scene. i also could be found on "the Westbank" in mpls. spent alot of late nights at Hard Times over there. Anyone who is ecclectic and into subculture that hasn't been really should check it out.If your scared of piercings or the occansional tatoo especially one that might be on the face you probably would be scared so don't go.What else I have been fortunate & privileged to have been able to present as well as show some of my ...Expand for more
art at both Intermedia Arts (uptown) and The Walker Art museums(mpls.) and a few other local venues. I love art to say the least, to call myself an artist seems pretty self pro-claimed and i feel the same way with other people defining themselves saying"yes, I'm a artist".so to this day i still am self concious about the artwork i do. cause after all art is in the eye of the beholder.I work with several different medias when it comes to art. The music i listen to is still alternative/punk/rock that is never going to change. My life has calmed down a bit since 2003. i moved from uptown back to st.paul, where i'm currently living. i like keeping my private life private when it comes to the net and family. so if i don't personaly know you you're really not going to find anything out in that dept..i've been engaged once but broke it off after i started losing interest and realized that i couldn't see him as my best friend outside of us dating let alone being married. so i'm glad i didn't spend more than 2 yrs. to realize that.so now i know a little better what i look for. My friends have endured through some obstacles but that is why they are more like my family.i would like to offer condolensces to anyone i was close with and have lost touch with it wasn't done to be hurtful or intentional my focus at times gets detered then back on track.but i would look forward to the chance to reconnect yes it sounds corny & cliched but it's true. i've traveled quite a bit as well that didn't change from when i was younger. well that's all. so tag the line( for the unsavvy it means write me a line if you want) ciao.
