Nicole's Story
Life
I was Married to my first love, first boyfriend for 17 years. I have one daughter who is now 23. She’s absolutely beautiful and smart. She recently graduated getting her bachelors degree with a 4.0 and she’s getting ready for nursing school. I got divorced in 2011 and I remarried a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force in 2017. He subsequently retired after 21 years, and took a job working for the Department of Defense in logistics and we have been living in the Middle East for the last three years… In a country called the Kingdom of Bahrain. t as flashy. Before Covid we were able to do a lot of traveling. I’ve been to Amsterdam, Thailand, Egypt, Oman, Jordan, England, Scotland, and Italy. I never would have imagined I would’ve done all this traveling. I never went anywhere out of the United States prior. Thankfully my daughter was able to be there for a year and a half of the three years and was able to go to many of those countries as well.
College
After EDHS, I went to Macomb Community College and received my associates degree. I then went to Oakland University and received my paralegal certificate. Now I am completely my bachelors degree at the University of Maryland Global Campus, online, very slowly, lol, but I am doing it... in HR.
