I have been married for 30 years, have 2 grown children~my son served in Iraq, came back in 2005 got married and he and his wife have a 4 1/2 month old daughter. My daughter has worked at a car dealership and as a nanny/house-animal caretaker for several years and has built up a reputable clientele. However,....in the infamous words of 'George Burns' I'd like to say "I wish I was 18 again...." would I do things differently? I hope so but.....probably not! I always wanted to be a just someone special when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a probably a nutcase idea. As it turns out, they were probably right!!!. I love to just zone out---give me a good book, let me listen to music or just keep on driiiiiivvvving.......... If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have good support, fast pace, and understanding to be able to deal with the day-to-day. Do I have a hero???....Boy, that's a tough one....I don't know if I really want to say 'a hero' but..... I have so much pride/envy/joy due to some of the things that my son is/and has become that I guess you could say that he is probably my closest thing to a hero .....outside of (Mickey Mouse!!) The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is oh my goodness.....there are so many!!! So many that I am curious about....Because I've lived in the same area I am fortunate enough to at least see my BEST friends....but there are a lot that I'm still curious about...., because I just wonder what has become of them and what they are doing.. Sports (na....not a real fan/but have gotten so I do LOVE to watch a Red Sox game, still don't understand football and I actually (believe it or not) enjoy watching golf (thanks to my husband's obsessions!!) If I could improve my home, I'd remodel EVERYTHING and add on a You name it.....at least 2000 extra square feet and have a HUUUGGGE kitchen with all the modern appliances.. My dream home would be Probably far away in a tolerable warm climate (year round) with NO FORWARDING ADDRESS TO FAMILY (unless I wanted them to contact us). Oh my goodness.....this definitely is not a large enough space. But as I said my son is absolutely amazing. He enrolled in the military because he wanted to further education and knew that we didn't have enough money, and ....my daughter has earned such a reputation for reliability and being basically "the right hand person" to her dealership, and she is so well rounded (I like to think like her mother..but I'm sure that it has to be a good mix..) that in this day and age, if my children are doing well, that's all I can ask for. If I won $100 million, I'd give as much as possible of it to my family to pay off debts, then spend the rest on ...probab...Expand for more
