Nikola's Story
Hello! Well, a whole lot has happened since graduating from Regina in 1988!!!! I went on to college and received a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Howard University. While in college I also minored in German. With this minor I was able to study the language further at the Goethe Institute in Bonn, Bad Godesberg, Germany during the summer of 1992. This was a great time in my life as I got the opportunity to travel to Germany and other countries in Europe. When I got back I worked for a year as a Research Assistant for a professor at Howard and then went on to study at The George Washington University. While at GW I received a Masters degree in Counseling. After completing my masters work, I decided to stay on at GW and 4 years later I received a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. nseling and psychological testing services for kids with learning disabilities. I have worked in several private schools and I am currently working as a School Psychologist in a private high school in Bethesda, Maryland. In 2001, I met my future husband Steve at a Halloween party. The cool thing was that we were both in costume! In 2003 we got married!! Then in 2005 I gave birth to my favorite little person in the world! My husband and I have a wonderful little girl! When she was born I hopelessly fell in love with her and was so grateful to finally meet my reason for existing! I love being a mom, wife, and therapist. I am also happy spending time with friends and family. I do keep in touch with Anhela, Kelly, Kim, Cathi, Shannon, and Mary Ann.
