Nina's Story
Life
January 2004 I had a baby boy. He is just the greatest thing ever. I was able to take the past year off to be with him and just went back to work this month. He even went on our cheer team trip to Orlando at two months of age and did great even though I was a nervous wreck.
Well once a cheerleader always a cheerleader.
After leaving the Edmonton Eskimo Cheer Team in 1997 to start my own cheerleading company (Ultimate Leaders Corporation) with my now husband. I still teach at private camps throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan (which is a great way to stay fit). rts and t-shirts anything to do with cheerleading we provide it. We are slowly moving into providing clothing to any client at a great cost. This will be our fifth year.
I am also still involved in the cheerleading community in Edmonton through coaching two teams at Ross Sheppard High School (co-ed and varsity). We started the varsity program in 1999 and the co-ed program in 2000. To date we have traveled to Anaheim, Seattle, Dallas and Orlando.
Co-ed team was 2003 Provincial champions.
Varsity was 2004 Provincial champions.
Co-ed Team was 2005 Edmonton City champions.
When I started cheerleading at M.E. I never thought I'd still be involved 20 plus years later. Oh my god now I feel old!!
