Nina's Story
Hi all......Since high school, I attended Western Washington University, graduating in 1968 with a political science degree. After college I traveled for 6 months from London to Prague to Istanbul to Bethlehem and much inbetween. Returning home, I had a series of jobs, landing on a position as Controller of an international trading company named Management Services International. During this time I met and married my husband, Lee Wright, an attorney from Connecticut. When we married, we moved to Whidbey Island where he was beginning his law practice. I continued to commute to my job in Seattle until after the birth of our 2nd child in 1979. We eventually had 3 daughters who are now all in ...Expand for more
their 30's. After a couple of years being a full time mom, I returned to the workforce, first as my husband's bookkeeper, and then as the controller of an island golf and country club from which I recently returned after 25 years. My husband and I enjoy tending to our 4 acres in our island "paradise", traveling, reading and visiting with friends and family. Our daughters all graduated from college in the sciences and engineering, and 2 of them have doctorates in ecology and volcanology. They live in Brooklyn, Portland and Whidbey Island, We have 2 granddaughters (ages 2 and 4) who live in Portland so are delightfully close for visiting. Would love to hear from any old friends from the past.
