Nolan's Story

Blessing Friends: I started a new position teaching Adult Education and the Community College on August 1, 2023 Last year I had a new position as the 5th/6th grade teacher at Temple Christian Academy in New Bern, NC. It is a new K-6 Start-up school. They did not have the enrollment to support a middle school for 2023-24. We have been in New Bern, NC since 2007- WOW!. It seems like another lifetime ago that I was in banking/Information technology (1986-2003), I went back to teaching (HS, Middle, and College). . I have been blessed to be able to go to China and teach in the summers many times; but my last trip was in 2019 before Covid closed down travel.. I started volunteering with the New Bern Police Department to run the Noble Knights Youth Chess Program and may restart my club. NewBrenChess.club. I have also been a coach, regional and state judge for Odyssey of the Mind, but stepped down from that in 2021. My wife is very involved with the Art Community. I also have a website NolanTomboulian..org where I have some other links and pictures. I rejoined Classmates Plus in December so I could see and send notes to profile visits. I let my membership expire. May classmates are not in the system and many of my "Notes" have not been read. May each day bring you new Hope, Peace, Love and Joy. .
