Life After High School I attended some college at Rio Hondo & worked to support my Widowed Mother and two sisters Nellie & Victoria.I waitressed in uptown whittier at BOBS BIG BOY for 6 years & put myself in trade school at the same time! I became a Registered Dental Assistant.At 24 I moved out ( Mom remarried ) and lived a great healthy single life & dated till my ears turned red! I met my husband when I placed an ad in the paper "Penny Saver" This was before all this internet "Harmony.com" stuff. We hit it off & bought a house.We married 10 years later ( Big Wedding!)! I was offered a career working for the Chief Surgeon at St. Josephs Hospital of Orange with Dr. Sanford Ratner.He knew my potential and my experience working with patients from 1984 - present, so he sponsored me in a program to become a Oral and Maxilliofacial surgical assistant/ Implant and back office Coordinator.I have been working with him in a very rewarding career for 8 years now!We specialize in Cleft palatal & facial bone deformities,Injuries to the jaw,TMJ,Cancers, Wisdom teeth & Implants. I was diagnosed with ovarian tumors & needed an emergency hysterectomy so I never had any children.I also own a business on the side at King Richards Antique Mall in uptown whittier. I am an Antique Dealer and I have a small Boutique in the store.I have my own line of bath products and hand crafted greeting cards....Expand for more
