Norm's Story
I lived in New Toronto, Oakville, Innisfil and now in Wasaga Beach .
After scraping by at Alderwood I attended The Provincial Institute of Trades (thanks to Mr Dunn who could see I was not Un'y material)...I studied Industrial Instrumentation...
I worked in Facilities at York University for 36 years (funny how things go around) and retired in 2006 when I was the Housing Manager... Lotsa stories to tell!!
I stayed involved with my first love... Drag Racing, where I had some successful cars and I also was the Announcer at Cayuga and Tor...Expand for more
onto International Dragways. In the early 90's I was part of the Raceline TV series on TSN where I was the colour commentator for various Racing shows..
Later, I enjoyed boating and cruised the canals and rivers in Ontario,NY,Que.
Sadly I have few memories of ACI as I was too busy working at the A&P and Shell station to support my car interest, however in the long run that did work out.
I have two daughters and 2 grandchildren.
I have enjoyed retirement far more than I expected I would, and I like to keep in touch via email and Facebook.
