Life
I was born a premie to a Preble county farmer and his wife... 71 years ago... wow where did the time go.. Dr said I would not live.. sure fooled him... Began school at Eaton, then moved to Monroe, since we lived near Eldorado.. then down to the farm on the California School Road in Dixon Twp... way back the long lane.. Graduated in 1951... worked for the Ipls. Glove Co.... then the Telephone Office in Eaton... for 7 years.. thout doubt is the joy of my life.. While living in Canada i have done a lot of babysitting, working with the sunday school at our church... etc. In 1969..went back to college.. got a job managing a store here in town and worked there until retirement.. I have had an interesting life. I am indeed thankful for each day God has given me. I enjoy hearing from any of my former Dixon-ite friends...I am glad for the precious lessons I learned while attending Dixon, and surely hate to think of the schoolhouse being torn down..
