Norman's Story
Something Worth Remembering
I reflect on our times together and
They were many, surely hundreds, maybe
Thousands, when I saw your face, felt your smile,
Heard your voice, and soaked up your spark and zest.
We seized time, sitting, talking, and sharing
Meals, music, fizzy wit, and funny jests.
They were all something worth remembering.
Whether at your house or mine, at school or
Church, at parties, hayrides, or dances, at
The lake or the pool, at the ballpark, the
Tennis courts, or the bowling alley, at
Pizza or burger places, at the show
Or driving round feeling peaceful and free.

rth remembering.
Days and times go past, happening too fast,
Our memories freeze the frame, each day and
Each time remain only just yesterday.
Our memories stay always ready for
Recall and they can rush back in a flash,
Fresh like the moment, rich, with no fading.
They are all something worth remembering.
Through the years, our paths have taken us in
Different directions, but we found that
Distance is not a measure of the heart
And passing time cannot grow us apart.
We are tied together forever by
Blood, friendship, loving, being and doing.
They remain something worth remembering.
