Norman's Story
Centre College 1965; Married 1966 Vanderbilt Law 1968; admitted Ohio Bar 1968, Son born 1968, admitted Kentucky Bar 1969, daughter born 1971, divorced 1979, married Linda 1981 one step daughter; 9/11/01 terrorists attacked, father died that night, Linda had first operation for cancer next day. Decided to close law office and did in April 2003. Linda died Dec 2004 but we had wonderful times together in those months from April '03 to Sept. 04. 6 cruises, 6 weeks on southeast coast; 4 weeks middle USA, 3 weeks west coast. Last cruise from Tahiti to Ft. Lauderdale. Upon return in Sept '04 cancer had gone to her brain. Didn't do much for a year but now bought & ride mot...Expand for more
orcycle, got pilot's license bought plane and agreed to work part time as City Attorney where I live (it paid for flying lessons) Daughter married for first time at age 37 and had her first child last year at age 38. Son a prosecuting attorney in Indiana and is working of Federal cases for Louisville County Atty.s office, two children ages 14 & 10. Daughter atty with Customs and Border Protection in Miami, Stepdaughter consulting engineer in ergonomics, no children.Now just enjoy and try and spoil grandchildren, annoy my own children as much as possible particularly when they ask about their own children "Was I like that at that age?" I always answer "Much worse."
