Since graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1951, life has been a series of challenges and fulfillment. The greatest thing that happened to me was to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1952. Turning my life over to our Savior and submitting to His will has been a marvelous and joyful experience. God has given me a personal witness from the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith was indeed a mighty prophet, prepared and called to restore the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in these latter days. The nature of "Mormonism" is such that it is either the greatest truth that has come forth in 2,000 years, or it is the biggest fraud and falsehood--there is no middle ground. I am a witness that it is true and comes from God and will bless the life of any person who will read the Book of Mormon--ancient America's witness of Christ--and then ask God if it is true. My witness of the truthfulness of the Holy Bible has grown tremendously because the Book of Mormon is another witness of its truthfulness. In 1954, I moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University and studied to become a teacher in the public school system. I taught high school age students who were in a lockup facility. I learned early the extreme importance of being honest and righteous parents, because the vast majority of my students came from delinquent homes. In 1965, I met a wonderful young woman who later became my wife, not just for this life but for all eternity--providing we keep the covenants we have made before God in His Holy House.
