J North's Story
Life
Several years ago, I sold a large organic farming operation I began back in 1985. Presently, I'm managing a large, prominent, and historic building in Hood River I recently restored, while trying to acquire foreclosed vacation rental properties in Lincoln City & Bend. I'm also involved with the OR Community Foundation. I've even done some legislative lobbying for renewable energy and energy efficiency bills, testifying repeatedly before senate and house committees during the 2009 session. For recreation I spend as much time as possible outdoors: skiing, running, biking, and surfing on the OR coast. My latest goal is learning to be a competent tennis player. I'm in great shape physically.
I have one daughter, Marina, born in 1988. She graduated form OES in 2006 and is currently attending Linfield College in McMinnville.

of rock, I branched out into bluegrass and even did the KBOO bluegrass show for a few years. I left that behind and eventually moved into newgrass, cajun, blues, calypso & reggae, electronica, swing, and progrock. I watch hardly any TV, and when I see the cover of People magazine I realize don't know much about pop culture either. But the stereo is almost always on at my place! I read a lot too... technical or scientific stuff on what ever catches my attention, and I'm also a big fan of spy thrillers and sleazy lawyer novels.
Awhile ago I posted my first profile here. I am amazed at how many hits I've had in just a few months. Most are by those whom I haven't seen since the good ol' days and have some trouble remembering, but if our lives did cross at one time, then I'm as curious about you as you were about me. We have a lot of catching up to do. Don't be shy!
