Oliver's Story
After I completed John Adams High School, 1957. I entered Brooklyn College, majored in Political Science, lettered on the Track & Field team, and became president of the Brooklyn College Chapter of the NAACP, and President of the New York State NAACP College Chapters and Youth Groups. iteracy. Michelle was born in 1967 & George in 1969. I taught at The City College for 30 years and at NYU for seven years. I am retired but still active in social justice work. I recently helped to found the Coventaning for Educational Justice Institute which aims to remove systemic policies and practices that maintain educational injustice and we work collaboratively with inner city churches to provide enriched education services. Both of my children are assistant principals in the NYC Board of Education. God bless Mr. Gladding.
