Ololube's Story

Life I'm born 1962 April 12. Since then, I've passed through the Rivers State school of Basic studies, by October 1981 to July 1982. Then, I joined my uncle to help him run a medical store. He then left for U.S been satisfied that I could help mentain sales. But then was Ngerian second regim politics, and my immediate elder brother lost the business car to thief at night. So, I was fed up and left them to trading on gari(cassava)fried food in the northern Nigeria{Sokoto to be specific} 1984. Within this period, I also served Dr. Cuper Enenia as pharmacy technician. Then, my interest in health work continued to increase so much that I joined the school of health technology Port Harcourt. 1986 to 1989, and I played school politic as a secretary 1987 to 1988. Here, I made a permanent seat for the community health department, which I belong to, to date. No other department has been able to take over the position of presidency from them. I equally introduced a new unifiorm that is still in use today, though my head of department then Mrs. Opuiyo Rose punished me for enforcing that. And the penalty was my been her driver for six months. Then I was posted to Abua community, Emoh village 1989 and by 1991 the local government was splited into three. Namely Ahoada East, Abua Odual, and Ogba/Egbema-Ndoni local government areas. So, as a junior staff then: the policies allow us go back to our local government of birth, so I did. But this offended my Abuan land lord since the person I handed over to could not perform but misuse the medicaments and the finance. The health centre failed and no capable hands to handle it up to date. I've been interested in researches, since I discovered that chemotherapy does not solve all needed health related problems. Majorly black magic charms. I then went into natural remedy (plants and herbs), this is facinating. Then, another part is the issue iniciation to the traditional cult before some healing can be effected. This was another area of int...Expand for more
erest, but against my faith and believes. So, through my denomination Seventh Day Adventist mission, I got to know about vegeterain diet and I tried it, good it was. Another person was introduced to me, the Zambians by Norman Archer Texas U.S based worker. And I with the Zambians choose Sunrider's product and equally exchange native roots and herbs not found in each others country. They're presently here with me in Nigeria and we've been able to test these products and especialy the brand name k.t.k is a Zambian processed root and herbs condiment for food suppliment. They're good. Now we're training volunteers and we also make them self reliance and busy, while going about to help the sick, also convert them by persuation to be vegetarians. We've been able to train so many groups, ranging from Abia State, Enugu State for last year 2004 June-July and Rivers State January-February two groups. We'd hope to training more groups but the church policy is schedule for an election of officials to run the three years administrative work. My major area in health training is Monitoring and Evaluation/Planning and Research/Statistics. That's surveillance is part of my work. So I confirm disease out- break in primary health care level. Other units submit datas to me for compilation and submission to the state head-quarters and onward to Abuja. I also publish the performance of each health unit work and their health centre's for evaluations and improvement in areas needed. Then, I choose to go in for public administration, to avoid the cheating done to health workers. Majorly health incentives and other entitlements. This area has not been very easy, it's chalenging. I've risen to the post of principal community health technician and would next be assistant chief community health technician before the year ends, but I'm now for principal personnel secretary. My local government has won many National prices for immunization and others. OLOLUBE IHEANACHOR.
