Orlanda's Story
Presently, I am living in Kingwwod, Texas. Kingwood is about 30 miles northeast of Houston. Two years ago I took a nostalgic trip to Ojai. The trip was fun and I saw a few vaguely familiar places. The trip confirmed to me that home is where you raise your children. We lived in Sacramento, Boise, Idaho and Walnut Creek, California before moving to Kingwood. We launched our kids from here.
I have three daughters and one son. My husband was very actively politically and the kids have taken up his mantel to carry on working for conservative issues both in Harris county and nationally.
Hobbies: At 76, I am a "gentle" tennis player and have my sons-in-law trained to hit the balls gently to me. They want to keep mother-in-law happy, so that wor...Expand for more
ks! I love to watch the Astros Baseball team at Minute Maid Park. I also love the The Texans football team and have a tailgate party for every game in the comfort of my Family Room. It looks like this year the Rockets Basketball will do well. I may be partying all year!
Careers: Taught Special Ed. for ten years. I then joined with a group of oil people; Geologist, Landman, Oil & Gas Attorney to form an oil company. Had a great time for 17 years. When my last daughter graduated from college I took a break which I am still on.
