Oh, they believe they can (which is the great sadness of it all) but, the bottom line is, if you have not been tested with what can ultimately be one of your Greatest Blessings, that of trial and the "pit" -the depth of moral, physical, spiritual and emotional dispair, if you haven't been to Hell and back, if you haven't had to pull yourself up by your boot straps, if you haven't had anything else but blind Faith left to hold on to and found that it is always rewarded, if you haven't taken a fearless and searching moral inventory (taken a long hard deep look within) and then admitted to God, to yourself, and to another human being the exact nature of your wrongs, I'd lay odds that you really don't know who or what you are! The first question: How strong is your steel? Your Steel is your character. Elements include: the depth of your love, courage, truthworthiness, patience, humility, dependability, honesty, Faith, your "comeback ability", just to mention a few. Oh yeah, one of the most essential elements "hugability" - the ability to give and receive hugs affectionately. I could elaborate extensively on my past - what I've been - liar, get rich quick schemer, friend, intellectual, fool, hard worker, loser of a few fortunes, world's greatest pretender, stupid, celebrated innovator, etc. Oh! I just did.(duh) So much for the "what I've been", which addresses my acts, actions and reactions, my stand(s) over a period of time. Now, on to the "who am I?".
